Recentemente mi sono imbattuto nella lettura di “ Come spiegare il cervello ai genitori”  - come crescere i nostri figli nel modo migliore -  di Álvaro Bilbao e l ’ ho trovato non solo estremamente interessante, ma anche sorprendentemente formativo. Sebbene il titolo si rivolga direttamente ai genitori, credo che il libro rappresenti una risorsa preziosa anche per educatori, insegnanti, pedagogisti e, in generale, per tutti coloro che hanno la responsabilità – o il desiderio – di accompagnare la crescita di bambini e adolescenti. The first robots in Australian elementary schools designed to help children with reading are social robots trialed recently by researchers at Flinders University.  These robots assist children aged 5 to 9 years as reading companions to provide encouragement, emotional support, and tailored help for literacy development.  The initiative aims to help children with reading difficulties or anxiety by offering a non-threatening, engaging, and confidence-boosting learning environment. Key features of these reading robots include prosocial behaviors such as smiling and conversation, as well as the ability to provide knowledge related to core academic skills like reading and math. Le neuroscienze stanno offrendo all’educazione strumenti preziosi per capire come il cervello apprende, memorizza e si trasforma.   Tecnologie come fMRI ( risonanza magnetica funzionale ) ed EEG ( elettroencefalogramma) permettono di osservare l’attività cerebrale in tempo reale e hanno mostrato quanto la neuroplasticità — la capacità del cervello di riorganizzarsi — sia influenzata da stimoli significativi, emozioni positive, movimento, sonno e gestione dello stress.
