2025 : The Year in Review

Looking back at the year

Time flies. It’s the end of the year...

At the end of the year, we often stop and think. We think about time, about what happened, and about how we feel. Sometimes the year feels fast. Sometimes it feels slow. There are no right or wrong answers.

Today we look back at the year and at the world around us. We talk about things that make us feel proud, and things that make us feel sad or worried. We focus on what was done by others, not on our personal life.

This Year in the World: Learning, Technology, and Hope

This year, many things happened in the world. Some events make us feel proud.
Other events make us feel sad or worried.
One big topic this year is technology.

Today, phones, computers, and the internet are part of everyday life. Artificial intelligence, or AI, has grown very fast. AI is new technology that can learn and help people. AI helps doctors find illnesses earlier. It helps students study, write messages, and communicate. For these reasons, many people feel proud of the progress of AI. At the same time, AI brings important questions. Some people worry about jobs and controlSo people feel proud, but also careful and thoughtful.

This year, there was also progress in medicine. Doctors and scientists continue to find new treatments. This helps people live longer and better lives.

But not everything is positive. Many people regret that there is still war in the world. War brings pain and suffering to innocent people. This makes many people feel sad. People also worry about pollution and climate problems. Some people work hard to protect the environment. Others do not do enough, and this causes concern.

In Education, technology can be helpful. AI can explain ideas and support teachers. But technology should not replace people. Learning needs human contact, conversation, and trust.

For many senior learners, technology can be useful but also difficult.
Learning should be slow, clear, and respectful. Education
is not only about skills. It is about staying curious, feeling included, and sharing experience.

Stay Hungry, Stay foolish (Steve Jobs)

This year shows us that the world has both progress and problems. What matters is awareness, responsibility, and hope for the future.

Learning has no age. Technology is a tool. People are always more important.
